The Professional Qualification Committee is the body of the Agency in charge of sanctioning the competency qualifications of the requesting engineers and issuing the corresponding certificates.
It is made up of professionals of recognized prestige in a limited number but sufficient to cover the spectrum of professional performance of engineers. Eventually they may invite or incorporate other members from specific fields.

Their functions are:
- Qualify the level of Professional Competences of an applicant engineer, in a specific field and from the evaluation proposal previously formulated by the corresponding professional association.
- Issues the certifications corresponding to the qualification obtained by the engineer.
- Resolve the conflicts that arise in the evaluations.
- It ensures homogeneity and rigor in the application of the evaluation system among the different entities that carry them out.
- Follow the criteria and procedures of ISO 17024 for certification of persons.
- The Board of Trustees of the Foundation determines the number of members and their composition.
- The members of the Committee cannot be: the natural persons who are employers, or members of the governing bodies of the respective entities, nor their executive directors.
- It meets monthly.
